Small Shop. Industrial Standards.

MiMar Sheet Metals was founded in 2005 right here in Orillia, Ontario — the same community where I was born and raised. What began as a small operation focused on light‑commercial and custom residential HVAC work has grown into a dedicated fabrication shop serving Orillia, Simcoe County, and surrounding areas.

After years on the installation side, we’re shifting our focus toward what we do best: fabricating high‑quality rectangular duct and fittings for the contractors who install them. We understand what installers need because we’ve been on the tools ourselves.

We’re a small, hands‑on shop, and we take pride in supporting both professional contractors and DIY homeowners. Our goal is to offer a reliable selection of off‑the‑shelf residential fittings, while still providing custom fabrication when a project calls for something specific.

One of the biggest things that sets us apart is our commitment to building everything to proper SMACNA standards.

No shortcuts.

No 28‑gauge metal.

Every fitting — even our standard, off‑the‑shelf pieces — is made using the correct gauge for its size, ensuring strength, durability, and a better installation experience for the people putting it together.

We also believe in doing our part to reduce our environmental footprint. Our shop operates in a building powered by solar energy, and we run an electric work truck as part of our commitment to greener operations. It’s a small step, but it reflects the values we bring to our work and our community.

Because we’re a small shop, we keep things simple and efficient. We currently fabricate S & D and raw‑edge ductwork only — we are not set up for TDC/TDF connections or large‑scale production runs. What we offer instead is craftsmanship, consistency, and a shop that’s deeply rooted in Orillia and invested in doing things the right way.
